Memories About Dave
Doug Brown, Brother
“Camping with mom and dad was a fun period. There were so many mosquitoes. Mom made tomato soup. We looked at the soup – we couldn’t see the soup because the top was completely covered with mosquitoes. We ate it and ran into the tents and tried to lock it up, of course you can never lock every mosquito out. The next day dad got up early with myself and Dave and we went fishing. Mom got up, and by the time dad got back she had packed the tent herself, packed the car and was ready to go. Dad got back from fishing and she said 'That’s it we had a great time, we’re out of here, get in the car. We’re not spending another night, no way no how,' cracked me up. I’ll never forget eating those mosquitoes on top of that tomato soup.”
